Koetter Fire provides electro-optical fire detection systems from Fire Sentry. These fire detectors sense radiant energy in the Ultraviolet (UV), Visible and Wide Band Infrared (IR) spectrum. The radiant energy from all types of flaming fires (both hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon will alert the heat detector to their presence. High-speed detectors sense radiant energy in the Ultraviolet (UV), Visible and Wide Band Infrared (IR) spectrum.

The incipient stage of smoldering fires provides the widest window of opportunity to detect and control the spread of fire. VESDA smoke detectors can be configured to generate multiple alarms within this window, to provide the time needed to help minimize or prevent fire loss. Visual smoke detection (VSD) follows the incipient phase and can provided with Fire Sentry's VSD system which is based on a sophisticated computer analysis of the video image, i.e. the area covered by the CCTV camera’s field of view.
