During the 1970’s the company introduced strobes, speakers and a patented horn strobe combination audible-visual alert, which became the standard of the life safety market. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was enacted in 1992. Wheelock responded to the emergency notification requirements for the hearing impaired and epileptic individuals with patented economic and synchronized notification circuits. The newest additions to our leading fire alarm product line include the field selectable SPEC1FIRE multi-candela appliances, higher intensity strobes and weatherproof speaker strobes. Specifiers can choose from the industries widest selection of products to meet application requirements.
