The Stat-X family of fire suppression systems is based on aerosol technology developed in the space program, applied to fire protection by an American team of engineers and manufactured to ISO 9001:2000 standards in the USA. The Stat-X fire suppressant is a patented potassium-based aerosol that suppresses fire by chemically interfering with the free radicals of flame. It is ecologically safe, ten times as effective as halon replacements with zero ozone depletion and no global warming potential.

The Stat-X application technology requires no pressure vessels, manifolds, nozzles or pipe work, factors which result in significant installation and maintenance savings to our customers. Stat-X fire suppression systems are available in three configurations:

Stat-X Fixed System

Electrical Units - Electrically actuated units ranging in size from units containing 30 grams (covering up to 0.5 m3) up to 2500 grams (covering up to 40 m3). These units are typically tied to conventional fire detection systems and releasing panel.

Thermal Units - Stand alone units incorporating their own patented detection mechanism, eliminating the need for separate detection and releasing controls. Suitable for a broad range of applications in smaller enclosures, they are available in sizes ranging from 30 grams (covering up to 0.5 m3) up to 500 grams (covering up to 8 m3).

Manual Units - Stand alone units that can be activated manually via the integrated thermal detector. Suitable for a broad range of applications in smaller enclosures, they are available in sizes ranging from 30 grams (covering up to 0.5 m3) up to 500 grams (covering up to 8 m3).

Stat-X First Resonder

Small, light, handheld unit with a pull actuator designed to be tossed into rooms with active fires to provide immediate fire suppression. Designed for professionals, its small size, around 3-1/3 inches in diameter, 7 inches high, and weighing 2.5 lbs, makes it easily portable even by heavily laden firefighters. It contains 500 grams of the Stat-X compound and is triggered by pull-pin actuator which provides a 5 second delay before the discharge begins.

When used by firefighters, it buys time for hose set-up, stops flashover, and can provide an emergency egress route through a wall of flames. Used by police first on the scene, it can slow a fire long enough to allow fire departments to arrive.
